Poster and Plot Synopsis Revealed for Neil Gaiman’s Return to Doctor Who

A lifelong “Doctor Who” himself, award-winning author Neil Gaiman supplied the screenplay for the 2011 fan-favorite episode “The Doctor’s Wife.” Next month, he’s back in the TARDIS for another outing with Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor and new companion, Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman). Titled “Nightmare in Silver,” the episode has just received the following official synopsis from the BBC:

Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but it’s now the dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf and a dysfunctional army platoon.

When the Doctor, Clara, Artie and Angie arrive, the last thing they expect is the re-emergence of one of the Doctor’s oldest foes. The Cybermen are back!

Directed by Stephen Woolfenden, “Nightmare in Silver” is produced by Denise Paul and executive produced by Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner. The series is produced by Marcus Wilson.
