Warning: Spoilers for the Season 3 finale of The Walking Dead..
One of the more surprising elements of last night’s finale for The Walking Dead was that David Morrissey’s The Governor ended up surviving the ordeal. Hopping in a truck with his buddies, he drove away to fight another day, and The Hollywood Reporter says that Morrissey will indeed be back in the fourth season of the show as a series regular.
“He could die in the next episode,” said The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. “This is The Walking Dead; you never know.”
Given that Morrissey is quite beloved by the cast, crew, and fans of the series that seems unlikely. Are you excited for more episodes featuring The Governor?
The Walking Dead will begin production on its 16-episode fourth season this May and will return this October.
