Interview: Daniel Radcliffe Takes On The Woman in Black

Daniel Radcliffe is making quick work of moving on from the monumentally successful Harry Potter franchise. Aside from just finishing a yearlong run on Broadway in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, he has his first big post-Potter leading role with the period shocker The Woman In Black.

Adapted from the cult 1983 novel by Susan Hill, it’s a traditional Victorian Ghost story in which Radcliffe’s Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who recently lost his wife, is sent to settle the affairs of an estate that may be haunted by a vengeful spirit. The movie co-stars the great Ciar

Another Artful Take on The Woman in Black Poster

We have a new poster to share with you for The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, which is opening in theaters on February 3.

Strange, distributor CBS Films has not created a proper “final” poster for the U.S.  There is the teaser poster (“What Did They See?” it asks) which you’ll find here.  And we’ve seen posters from the UK, Canada and other foreign territories, but nothing has popped up in the U.S. yet.  Perhaps what you’ll find inside is all we’re going to get.

Second Clip from The Woman in Black Has Radcliffe on the Run

Last week yielded the first clip from The Woman in Black and we thought it was decent.  Today, however, a second clip has popped up and we’re really digging this one.

In the preview, star Daniel Radcliffe (of the Harry Potter films) is on the run from an unseen force.  He barricades himself in a bedroom, but no locked door is going to prevent what is pursuing him from finding where he is.

The Woman in Black opens February 3.

First Clip from The Woman in Black Surfaces

Photos, posters, trailers…we’ve seen everything but actual clips from CBS Films’ upcoming horror movie The Woman in Black, with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), but today, we remedy that.  Inside, you’ll find the first film clip from the February 3 release.

Here, Radcliffe’s character takes a bit of a cat nap at his desk while something sneaks  up on him.  Love the first half of the clip and its framing; not keen on the POV shot.  Loses the dread.  But here I am pre-judging the film.  Still curious to see what James Watkins (Eden Lake) does with it!
