In honor of King Tut Day – which celebrates the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb – Fox has sent along to us this exclusive first look at some alternate poster art for The Pyramid, a film that presents a discovery – albeit a terrifying one – all its own.

This art is deliberate departure from the “skull ‘n pyramid” poster we’ve been seeing. The question is: Who, or what, does that eye belong to?

The big screen horror movie line-up for 2014 doesn’t end with October. In December 5th, Fox brings us The Pyramid and, today, we have an exclusive two-minute featurette that not only includes some new footage from the supernatural thriller but includes interviews with the cast and crew. Here, the focus is on the fascination with Egyptian history and the dedication to detail The Pyramid adheres to.

The UK Trailer and One-Sheet for Alex Aja’s Horns

This year we’re getting a double dose of Alexandre Aja. The film he produced – The Pyramid – hits theaters on December 5th, but before that, on October 31st, we’re seeing the release of his latest directorial effort Horns. We’ve seen a domestic trailer hit the web, but today we have not just the UK preview but the poster as well.
Based on the novel by Joe Hill, Horns is a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery and romance. The film follows Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe), the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple).

Fox has released the one-sheet for The Pyramid this morning. This is that horror-adventure flick that Alexandre Aja produced with his longtime creative partner Gregory Levasseur. The two previously collaborated on High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes and Piranha 3D together.

Comic-Con: Alex Aja Offers Details on The Pyramid – The Descent Meets Indiana…

Alexandre Aja is in San Diego attending Comic-Con to promote Horns, the film opening October 31st that is based on the Joe Hill book of the same name.
I just sat down with the director, who has given us High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes, to talk not just about the adaptation but what he’s got on the way both on the producing front.
Recently, we learned a film he produced for director Gregory Levasseur, The Pyramid, got a release date from Fox: December 5th. Ashley Hinshaw, Denis O’Hare, James Buckley and Daniel Amerman star.

20th Century Fox Takes You into The Pyramid This December

?Gregory Levasseur – co-writer of High Tension, P2, The Hills Have Eyes and Maniac (pictured here on the far right) – is making his directorial debut with The Pyramid. It’s a thriller that has sort of snuck up on us as we’re learning today that 20th Century Fox will release it in theaters on December 5th. The film was formerly known as Site 146.
Removal’s Daniel Meersand and Nick Simon penned the script, meanwhile, Levasseur’s creative partner Alexandre Aja produced with Mark Canton and Scott Silver. Ashley Hinshaw, Denis O’Hare, James Buckley and Daniel Amerman star.
