Zach Gilford Remembers His First Time in a Horror Movie…

Continuing with the bit of fun I had with Olivia Munn earlier this month when I got her to recall the first time she starred in a horror film, I recently asked Zach Gilford to remember his horror debut.
The Friday Night Lights? vet had a busy year on the genre scene. It began in January with his turn in Devil’s Due and it now carries into The Purge: Anarchy, which he shares the screen with Kiele Sanchez and Frank Grillo.

Check Out This Crazy Nearly 4-Minute Clip from The Purge: Anarchy!

Shock Till You Drop has landed an explosive, exclusive first-look clip from The Purge: Anarchy, opening July 18th from Universal. This is a shockingly long preview (3.5 minutes) featuring all of the key players of the film, including Frank Grillo who plays a man who uses the night of “The Purge” to exact revenge. His plan hits a bit of a hiccup when he encounters a mother and daughter in need of help; as you’ll see in this clip, he makes a pretty big, dangerous decision.

The man in the truck is “Big Daddy” and he’s played by character actor Jack Conley (L.A. Confidential, Fast & Furious). Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, Zoe Soul, Justina Machado and John Beasley also star.

No Heroes – The Purge: Anarchy Gets a Second Full Trailer

?”We can’t have heroes…” The Purge: Anarchy has revealed a second full-length trailer following the release of a string of TV spots and the previously release first trailer. This one maintains its formula and the narrative beats seen in the other previews (with Frank Grillo depicted in some “out for vengeance” subplot), but it has some more footage and a particularly cool speech from someone about how there are “no heroes” during the night of “The Purge.”

I love the world they created with this film. It’s wicked and subversive and I’m hoping the film delivers. It opens in theaters July 18th and we’ll have some interviews to share leading up to the release.

The Purge: Anarchy Bus Stop Poster Spotted Around Town

To date, only one poster has made its presence known online for The Purge: Anarchy. It’s the one you see right here, in which guns and knives make up an American flag.

The poster art used in major cities, however, is a much different story. I’ve yet to see that poster on the streets – perhaps due to maintaining a level of sensitivity in the wake of so many tragic shootings that are taking place in the country. That’s just a guess, nothing official. Nevertheless, Universal rolled out some new key art around town and I snapped off a shot of it for you.

This Outdoor Ad Campaign for The Purge: Anarchy is Lethal

Looming above traffic in the heart of Hollywood right now is a giant building-wide billboard for The Purge: Anarchy, opening July 18th.

I snapped off the best pic I could last night; it’s the latest key art in the ad campaign for the film. To date, we’ve only seen a teaser poster (pictured here, too).
