FX Presents a Lengthy Preview of The Following Season 2

The special season two preview of The Following airs Sunday, January 19th (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), immediately after the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME (live, 6:00-10:00 PM ET). The show will then settle into its regular Monday schedule beginning January 27th.

You know my thoughts on The Following – especially if you listen to our podcast, The Bloodcast – but I’ve seen “Resurrection” and I thought it put the show right back on track.

Sleepy Hollow 2-Hour Season Finale Reschedules The Following

Fox is doing a bit of reshuffling as far as the finale of Sleepy Hollow and the season two debut of The Following is concerned. Sleepy Hollow will now conclude its first season in a special two-hour event on Monday, January 20th from 8-10pm ET/PT.

The Following, meanwhile, will stick to its original plan to debut season two “special preview” on Sunday, January 19th with the official season premiere to kick off on Monday, January 27th (not the 20th, as originally planned).

The Following Season 2 Sets Premiere Date

Fox is going big with The Following, making an event out of its premiere.

Last season’s number 1 new series, returns for its 14-week second season with a special two-night season premiere event, beginning Sunday, Jan. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), following the NFC Championship Game (live, 6:00-10:00 PM ET).

Posters Revealed for The Scribbler, The Following Season 2

The first poster for graphic novel adaptation The Scribbler has come online and can be viewed below, thanks to EW.  Also inside, courtesy of THR, a season two promo poster for The Following.

In The Scribbler, Katie Cassidy (Taken) plays the title character in the John Suits-directed thriller, which co-stars Garret Dillahunt, Michelle Trachtenberg, Eliza Dushku, Gina Gershon, Michael Imperioli, Billy Campbell and Sasha Grey. 

A Second Promo for The Following Teases Carroll’s Return

Fox has revealed another promo for The Following’s second season, this one featuring Kevin Bacon’s Ryan Hardy as he ruminates on his encounters with Joe Carroll’s James Purefoy.  Ah, but then it takes a clever twist.  Head inside for a look at the 30-second spot teasing what’s to come in early 2014.

Back to the Killing Business, Following and Hannibal Begin Production

It has been a busy morning on Twitter for two TV showrunners returning to the grind.  Both Bryan Fuller and Kevin Williamson, of Hannibal and The Following (respectively), took to their social media to alert fans that production has begun on season two of their shows.  I just like the timing of both posts (Fuller tweeted a pic and then, shortly after, Williamson fired off an image).  Check out the pics they ran inside. Both Hannibal and The Following return in early 2014.

Connie Nielsen Boards The Following Season 2 As…

Fans of The Following are still a little ways away from the season two premiere, so they’ll have to latch on to any bit of information they can get until early 2014 (when new episodes begin).

The last we heard about any season two casting, Sam Underwood (of this season of Dexter) was joining the cast.  Now, actress Connie Nielsen is also boarding the series.

Nielsen has appeared in The Devil’s Advocate and will also be seen in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac. So, who is she playing in The Following?

Bates Motel Finds Norman a Girlfriend, The Following Gains a Dexter Actor

Comic-Con brought about the news that some new characters were coming to Bates Motel in its sophomore run on A&E.  In our interviews with the cast, we learned Norman was going to get a girlfriend.

Deadline reports Paloma Kwiatkowski (Percy Jackson: The Sea Of Monsters) is joining the cast to play Cody Brennan. The site describes her as “a small town party girl who befriends Norman (Freddie Highmore) and bonds with him, showing him how having fun and

New Posters for The Following and Seventh Son

More images/posters are being released as we edge closer to Comic-Con.  Now, we have a new poster for Fox’s The Following as well as a new one-sheet for Seventh Son, the monster-filled fantasy flick with Jeff Bridges and Kit Harrington.

Comic-Con 2013: Warner Bros. Brands Its Bags With The Following

If you’re a San Diego Comic-Con regular, you know that the first stop you have to make on the main floor is the Warner Bros. booth where they hand out those big-ass bags to put all of your loot in.

This year, one of the bag designs is being devoted to The Following.  Use it as a side bag or, turn it into a backpack.  Who knew going to Comic-Con could be so fashionable.  The new design comes with a cape, too.

As for The Following, the show is going to have a presence at SDCC with a special panel and video presentation.  Season two kicks off in 2014.  For the latest Comic-Con news and images, visit our hub here!

The Following Will Return for a Second Season

The future of The Following – Fox’s series starring Kevin Bacon – has been uncertain.  Ratings were said to have been soft, but then it garnered more attention.  According to reports, DVR numbers were strong.

Still, there was the looming question of whether or not the network would pick the show up for another season.

Today, we can confirm that – yes – The Following will be back for season two for the 2013-2014 season.
