Help is Needed In This Clip from Spiders 3D

I find it fascinating that Spiders 3D isn’t going direct-to-SyFy or DVD/Blu-ray but is instead making the festival rounds.  Today, it was announced today that the Tibor Takacs-directed creature feature has been named an official selection of The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival and to celebrate, we’re releasing a brand new clip has been released – you can find it inside.

Running December 7th through the 9th, The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival celebrates their love of science fiction and metaphysics in cinema. The festival will be held at the Indie Screen Theater in Brooklyn (289 Kent Ave at S. 2 Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn 11211) with Spiders 3D slated to screen at 10:20 pm on Friday, December 7th.

No word on an official release date yet, however, we’ll keep you posted as always.

A Giant Arachnid Goes On the Attack in an Exclusive Clip from Spiders 3D

The insects-run-amok thriller Spiders 3D is making the festival rounds and we have an exclusive clip (and trailer, too!) featuring a pissed off multi-limbed beastie attacking two gals in an apartment complex.  The film is schedule to play Friday, October 26th  11pm at the Freakshow Film Festival in Orlando and Thursday, November 8th  9:30 pm  NYC Horror Film Festival in New York City.

Following the crash of a derelict Soviet space station into a Manhattan subway tunnel, a new species of spider is discovered in the wreckage. When the spiders mutate to gigantic proportions, an MTA subway employee has to save his family and all of New York City from destruction.

Directed by Tibor Takacs (The Gate, I, Madman), Spiders 3D stars Patrick Muldoon, Christa Campbell, William Hope, Pete Lee Wilson, Jon Mack and Sydney Sweeney.

The Los Angeles 3D Film Festival announced Spiders 3D is going to be making its world premiere during the festival’s opening night gala celebration on Thursday, September 20th at the Regal Cinemas LA Live Stadium 14 at 10 pm.

In anticipation of this debut, two new images have been revealed.  You’ll find them inside.

Featuring a diverse collection of both studio and independent films, the 3D Film Festival takes place in Los Angeles, California every September (in 2012, it runs from September 20-22) and additionally hosts numerous smaller events throughout the world, including a touring festival across four continents, 3D educational events and  much more.

This Spiders 3D One-Sheet is Epic

Tibor Takacs loves him some nature-run-amok action.  The man who gave us titles like Mega Snake, Rats, Mansquito and Ice Spiders (not to mention The Gate) is back with Spiders 3D.

The flick is in post-production (so says the IMDb, but I swear I’ve been hearing about this damn movie forever and figured it was done by now) and we found a spiffy new one-sheet.  You can find a larger version after the jump.

Spiders 3D comes to us from Millennium Films, the company behind this week’s release The Expendables 2 and the forthcoming The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.  Maybe they’ll squeak this one into theaters?

Following a crash of an old Soviet space station in New York City’s subway tunnel, a new species of poisonous spiders is discovered. Inadvertently the spiders mutate to gigantic proportions and wreak havoc on the entire city.
