SyFy has released a 3-minute clip from the late-July offering Sharknado 2: The Second One. This one finds “hero” Ian Ziering on a subway train until the unthinkable happens…the tunnel floods, bringing with it: Sharks! Oh no!

Syfy Summons a Third Sharknado Film

Syfy’s irony-driven telefilm franchise is set to continue today as AdWeek reports that plans are underway for a third Sharknado film to debut in 2015.

The news comes a full three months before the premiere date of Sharknado 2: The Second One, which airs on Syfy July 30th.

Everyone on the Cab! Sharknado 2: The Second One Set Pics Are In…

?Director Anthony C. Ferrante is in New York City shooting the sequel Sharknado 2: The Second One, a sequel to last year’s SyFy cult fave. Today, we have a slew of on-set pics showcasing, well, most of the headline cast. The only one missing here is Tara Reid, but, you have Ian Ziering, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch and Mark McGrath all romping about a yellow cab.

The pics were taken last night in Times Square.

Sharknado 2’s Cast Gets an Expansion

In addition to Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, the cast of Sharknado 2: The Second One is also set to star Judd Hirsch (?!), Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick and Judah Friedlander.

Anthony Ferrante will once again direct from a screenplay by Thunder Levin, who also wrote the original Sharknado.

Syfy and The Asylum today announced that Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will reprise their roles as Fin and April for the Sharknado sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, which begins filming in New York on February 13th.

Sharknado 2 Has An Official Title

After reviewing more than 5,000 Twitter submissions to its Name Sharknado 2 social media contest, Syfy announced that the title of the eagerly anticipated Sharknado sequel is…Sharknado 2: The Second One.
