Seventh Son Gets a New Trailer for 2015 Release

Remember that big action-packed, creature-filled flick Seventh Son that was supposed to come out? (It had a few release dates.) Well, the Legendary production that Universal is distributing is expected to hit theaters February 6, 2015 and we’ve got the new official trailer for you.
In a time of enchantments when legends and magic collide, the sole remaining warrior of a mystical order (Jeff Bridges) travels to find a prophesized hero born with incredible powers, the last Seventh Son (Ben Barnes).

Universal Sets Release Date for The Mummy Reboot

Universal reps have informed us of a few release dates that you should know about for The Seventh Son, The Boys Next Door and, notably, The Mummy reboot.

Regarding the latter: The Mummy is set for release on April 22, 2016. Here’s an early blurb from the studio: “A legend that has endured since the dawn of man is reborn in The Mummy, Universal Pictures

Seventh Son Moves to Universal and Looks for New Date

The divorce papers have been signed between Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. Universal Pictures is the hot young girlfriend who signed a distribution dealing with the newly freed production company, and now it’s just a matter of who gets the kids.

Just days after Legendary opted out of the Man of Steel sequel to focus on Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, which has a joint distribution deal between Warner Bros. and Paramount, Warner Bros. has decided to allow Legendary to walk away with Sergei (Mongol Bodrov’s adaptation of Joseph Delaney’s Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges (as a sorcerer) and Julianne Moore.

The movie has been dropped from its January 17th release date, having just moved there a few months back, and it’s being reported that Universal will step in as a distributor only, the movie having already been fully financed by Legendary.

Warner Bros. dominates Hall H with a mighty six-film preview that includes a look at both Godzilla and Seventh Son.

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Gareth Edwards directs Godzilla, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.

The fantasy action adventure Seventh Son takes audiences to a time long past, where evil is about to be unleashed. Jeff Bridges stars as Master Gregory, a Falcon Knight who imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore) years ago. Now escaped, she seeks vengeance, and Gregory has only until the next blood moon to train a new apprentice (Ben Barnes), the seventh son of a seventh son, to fight a dark magic unlike any other.

New Posters for The Following and Seventh Son

More images/posters are being released as we edge closer to Comic-Con.  Now, we have a new poster for Fox’s The Following as well as a new one-sheet for Seventh Son, the monster-filled fantasy flick with Jeff Bridges and Kit Harrington.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer and poster for Seventh Son, the fantasy adventure opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on January 17th.

Directed by Sergei Bodrov, the film stars Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Ben Barnes, Djimon Hounsou, Alicia Vikander, Antje Traue, Olivia Williams and Kit Harington.

In a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed that will reignite the war between the forces of the supernatural and humankind once more. Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges) is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), centuries ago. 

Legendary Pictures Press Conference: Updates on Warcraft, Spectral, Seventh Son, As…

Legendary Pictures is having a great summer, it goes without saying.  The Hangover Part III turned a decent profit and Man of Steel killed at the box office.  

So, now what?  

To answer that question, president Thomas Tull invited select members of the press, including yours truly, down to a press conference in Hollywood to look ahead at the company’s slate in the coming years which includes a new film from the Dowdle brothers, an epic-looking war film infused with a supernatural edge and more.  We even got Tull to comment on the prospect of another Trick ‘r Treat film.
