Leatherface, the next installment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre legacy, has reportedly found its directors. Julian Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside, Livide) were on a “short list” of directors being considered just a few weeks back, but now Bloody-Disgusting can confirm that they indeed landed the job.

No director has officially signed on Leatherface, the next installment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series (yes, they’re using that title again), but there are two pairs of directors in the running for the job. They’re promising, too!
Alexandre Bustillo and Julian Maury are said to be the main contenders, says Bloody-Disgusting. Meanwhile, Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch are being eyed as well.

Seth M. Sherwood has been tapped to write the new installment of the series which is being called Leatherface – a moniker already used for the 1990 entry Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III.
Millennium Films is once again spearheading this project. This is the company behind Texas Chainsaw 3D. Carl Mazzacone, Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman will serve as producers.
