Laid to Rest 3 May Actually Be Happening

News moved slow on this one, but sources at the Texas Frightmare convention tell me that Robert Hall – director of Lightning Bug and the Laid to Rest films – told fans that Laid to Rest 3 is in the works. We’ve got few details to go on, but this isn’t surprising news since Hall and the team behind the film have been talking trilogy since day one.

ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 was an entirely independent effort and later picked up by Image Entertainment.

Distributor Checks into the Fear Clinic

The feature film version of Fear Clinic – which is based on the FEARnet web series – has found a home at Anchor Bay, reports THR. No word yet as to when it plans to release the Rob Hall-directed feature.

In Fear Clinic, Dourif portrays Sara Falls (Fiona Dourif), a young woman whose phobias begins re-immerging and must seek out the specialized help of Dr. Andover (Robert Englund).

First Look at Fiona Dourif in the Fear Clinic Film

Fiona Dourif has captured a growing fanbase since appearing in this year’s Curse of Chucky. She’s now at work on Fear Clinic, the feature film version of the FEARnet original series directed by Robert Hall (of the Laid to Rest films). The first images from the new flick have been thrown our way and we’re sharing them with you here.

In Fear Clinic, Dourif portrays Sara Falls (Dourif), a young woman whose phobias begins re-immerging and must seek out the specialized help of Dr. Andover (Robert Englund). Starring as Blake Patton is Thomas Dekker; Blake is a disabled man who is brought into the clinic after surviving a terrible tragedy.

Fear Clinic Financed, Fiona Dourif Joins the Cast

Not too long ago, Robert Hall (Laid to Rest) and some friends took to Kickstarter to seek financing for a feature film adaptation of Fear Clinic. Today, Dry County Entertainment and Fear Chamber LLC have announced that the film is going to be a reality.

Fear Clinic began as a 2009 horror series for FearNet that consisted of five episodes starring up-and-coming talent like Lucas Till and Kate Nauta as well as horror icons Danielle Harris, Lisa Wilcox and Kane Hodder. The series and upcoming film stars Robert Englund as Dr. Andover, a fear doctor who treats patients afflicted with crippling phobias by inducing hallucinations inside his exposure therapy invention; The Fear Chamber.

The project has been in active development for a feature film, written by Robert Hall and Aaron Drane.
