Shock sat down with Hatchet III co-stars Kane Hodder (Friday the 13thVII-X) and Zach Galligan (Gremlins) for their thoughts on the upcoming film.
Zach and Kane discuss the film

When one hits Comic-Con, there are only so many panels we can hit in one day.
Sadly, we were not able to make the panel discussion with Bryan Fuller, the creator of the upcoming Mockingbird Lane (The Munsters reboot) and Hannibal television shows.
If we had, we would have seen the first look at Mockingbird Lane via a sizzle reel, which offered up first footage from the series.
Thankfully, TV Line was there and they ran a few highlights and posted a panel pic which shows off the Munsters themselves (it’s the pic you see to the right, head inside for a slightly larger version).
As you see, the Munsters look quite, er, normal. No garish make-up. (Jerry O’Connell plays Herman Munster, Portia De Rossi is Lily, Eddie Izzard is Grandpa, Mason Cook plays Eddie and Charity Wakefield is Marilyn.) But rest assured, there are plenty of monstrous shenangians on the way.
HBO has released it’s Comic-Con trailer for True Blood season five, offering fans a sneak peek at the rest of the season.
Footage from the preview contains some scenes from tonight’s episode and certainly reflects just how wildly all over the map this season has been. Enjoyable, yet crazy in True Blood fashion.
Based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, “True Blood” was created by Alan Ball.
The show follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard).
True Blood airs every Sunday night at 9 p.m.
Shock Till You Drop had the opportunity to screen the new CG film, Starship Troopers: Invasion at Comic-Con 2012. We also got a first look at the video game of the same title. The game looks fun. The film is a different story.
The plot goes something like this. Some troopers aboard a starship fight some giant ass bugs. Some other stuff happens. Some bugs die. Some people die.
That should tell you everything you need to know and more about the Starship Troopers: Invasion movie. It was a big waste of my time and I would like to encourage you not to waste yours watching the film.
Starship Troopers: Invasion is nothing more than a vehicle to promote the release of the video game of the same title. The problem with the film is that unlike a video game, you are not in control. You just have to sit there and watch as the troopers shoot giant bugs. It
Although director Paul W.S. Anderson was making movies for many years before he tackled Capcom’s Resident Evil as a film, that’s the movie he’s become the most closely associated with, having written all five movies and directed three of them.
This September, the fifth chapter in the series, Resident Evil: Retribution, will open nationwide September 14th, bringing back not only Milla Jovovich’s Alice but a lot of characters from the previous installments – many of them who are dead – as well as introducing Ada Wong (Bingbing Li) and Leon Kennedy (Johann Urb) from the games.
Even though it may not seem like the movies have gotten that much bigger in terms of business since the first movie in 2002, the previous movie, Resident Evil Afterlife, which was the first one filmed in 3D, became a nearly $300 million global phenomenon. That may be why Resident Evil: Retribution is boasting its own global initiative as Alice and friends end up travelling to a lot of different places outside Raccoon City in this one.
Both Shock Till You Drop and ComingSoon.net have interviewed Anderson many times, but for one reason or another, this writer has never had a chance to even meet him, so it was cool to finally be able to meet and talk to this master of the horror and video game movie genre.
Comic-Con’s Hall H was host today to some of the very first footage from the upcoming Silent Hill: Revelation 3D as part of a panel hosted by writer/director Michael J. Bassett, star Adelaide Clemens and producer Samuel Hadida.
Two clips were shown, one of which you can check out for yourself by clicking here. The other revealed a cinematic take on one of the Mannequins from “Silent Hill 2”, depicting it as a spider creature that spins webs to capture victims alive. It also carries a number of different mannequin heads with it, rotating between them as it pursues its would-be prey (Clemens’ Heather Mason).
Shock sat down with Michael J. Bassett, the writer-director of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D at the San Diego Comic-Con today.
Bassett – who previously helmed Deathwatch, Wilderness and Solomon Kane – spoke with us about the challenges of filming in 3D, the new monster we’re going to see in the film, his preference for practical effects versus digital and the level of violence the story offers.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is slated for an October 26 release from Open Road Films.
At 2:30pm Pacific today, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are going to be rolling out the big guns, previewing titles like Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, The Hobbit and Man of Steel in Comic-Con’s massive Hall H.
Of course, we’ve got a reporter embedded in the Hall H cavern and he’s going to be live blogging the panel, talking about the footage he’s seen, the surprises that are in store for the panel and offering highlights from the discussions with the cast and crew of those aforementioned titles.
You do not want to miss this. Apparently, Del Toro is going to be showing some incredible stuff. Head inside for the goods!
The Silent Hill fans have spoken. They wanted to see footage from the forthcoming Silent Hill: Revelation 3D…and they’re gonna get it! Fresh from the Comic-Con panel this afternoon comes the first clip which is called, simply, “Nurse Attack.” Lookin’ good so far…
Michael J. Bassett, star Adelaide Clemens and producer Samuel Hadida were on hand to discuss the sequel hitting this fall from Open Road. We’ll be posting interviews shortly.
Synopsis: For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
Just to show you how slowly the Hollywood machine can move at times, a project which was originally announced last summer at Comic-Con has now begun casting in anticipation of a November principal photography start.
According to Deadline, Cascae FilmWorks has come aboard as co-financier of Last Blood, to be directed by Simon Hunter (Mutant Chronicles).
AMC has revealed a new poster for The Walking Dead season three, and this one is all about Michonne and her two “pets.” Sure, we’ve seen this image on a previously released banner, but this poster offers much more detail.
Michonne is played by series newcomer Danai Gurira.

Just another friendly reminder that we’ve added even more images to our growing Comic-Con 2012 photo gallery. Just click on the image below to access our gallery which includes pictures from the dealers floor, panel pic and cosplay pics…this one was our favorite from last night. However, the Scarecrow looks a bit “Sam”-ish from Trick ‘r Treat, yes? Like, the grown up version.
