Starz has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming "Torchwood: Miracle Day," set to begin airing on July 8th.
The series, a spinoff of "Doctor Who," began airing in Britain in 2006. It ran for two 13-episode seasons before opting for a unique approach for a third, airing a single five-episode story, "Children of Earth" over a single week. The new, fourth production is shot primarily in the US and looks to blend both approaches, running 10 episodes that involve a single, ongoing storyline called "Miracle Day" in which an unknown force prevents anyone on Earth from dying.
The series is set to feature the return of John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Kai Owen with new roles for Mekhi Phifer, Alexa Havins, Arlene Tur, Bill Pullman, Lauren Ambrose, Tom Price, William Thomas, Sharon Morgan, Dillon Casey, Dicehn Lachman, Lena Kaur, Wayne Knight, Ernie Hudson, C. Thomas Howell and John de Lancie.
