J.J. Abrams to Direct NBC's Undercovers

November 6, 2009

J.J. Abrams is executive producing and will direct the first episode for "Undercovers," his Warner Bros. pilot at NBC.

Abrams would make "Undercovers" the first TV pilot he has directed since 2004's "Lost" opener.

NBC's "Undercovers" has been described as a mix between Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity.

"a mix between Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity" - So basically Alias? I love J.J.'s work, he needs to move away from genre.

How many television shows or movies have been ripping off True Lies since 94. This is weak.

Abrams tv production losing heat - hasn't gotten another hit show up and running since Lost. Fringe is close to being cancelled.

Wow should be good... LOST and Fringe are basically my favorite shows right now... J.J. always is attached to awesome projects.. should be cool... it's on NBC though? hopefully the show makes a name for itself because the network doesn't exactly juggle shows very well if the title of your show isn't "the Office" or "30 Rock"....
