ABC to Break Up V Debut

Entertainment Weekly reports that "V," ABC's remake of the NBC mini-series, will air for a limited, four-episode run in November and then return to the schedule after the Olympics in March.

It was recently announced that the production would halt for a two-week hiatus. That hiatus has now been extended for another four weeks to prepare for the show's November 3 debut.

The series stars Elizabeth Mitchell and Scott Wolf. You can watch the trailer below!

This is BAD MARKETING MOVE! If they show It November 2009, then bring back in March 2010 most likely you well lose your audience. Show likes HUFF, showed in 2004, then it returned in 2006 it got cancelled. Is this a new thing where the show half a season, then bring back is this new way to make money? There are some many NEW shows, everybody wants to hawk all of them. I'm a fan of this show, hope they dont cancel. Also buying it on DVD, double paying for 1 of 2 seasons. Everything has to be a gimmick.

Well you guys obviously deserve recognition for your ability in mathematics!
If the show airs in November for four episodes, that means it will be December when they finish. March is THREE months later, not five.

It is a bit strange, but if they have to show the olympics, they probably don't have much of a choice other than to delay those four episodes and start everything after the olympics. But that would mean going into summer television programming - a big no-no for the ratings.

Yeah very bad idea. People will think 'V" got cancelled and by the time it comes back they'll forget what its about.

Heck I remember in summer of 2008 when my co-worker said "Too bad they cancelled "Pushing Daisies". I was like "No it was just the writer's strike. It returns in the fall". Just not filming even a few more episodes for the spring dropped it from people's minds and that spelled doom for season 2.

This will be more of the same. Now I'll wait to see if it survives I think

What happened? did ABC learn something about how Fox kills perfectly good series before they really start?

Actually if we find out that the episodes we do get before march have been moved around the week without much notice then I might be right...Good game ABC..

24 and cable shows that air the entire season without breaks get it right.

Plenty of new shows launch in January and February. Olympics are only 2.5 weeks
