Rady First New Melrose Place Cast Member

"Swingtown" alum Michael Rady is the first actor cast in the new "Melrose Place," says The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor landed the job Wednesday morning, a day after The CW officially greenlighted the pilot for the "Melrose" update, to be directed by Davis Guggenheim.

On the CBS Par project, written by "Smallville" executive producers/co-showrunners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, Rady will play Jonah Miller, a cute and quirky 25-year-old aspiring filmmaker who makes his living as a videographer of weddings and bar mitzvahs for the rich and famous after moving to Los Angeles with his fiancee a year ago.

can Hollywood not come up with new television shows now? they have to recreate old shows that went off the air only 10 years ago?! Bionic Woman, Knight Rider, 90210, now Melrose Place.

Are there no original minds anymore?! *!

Its really sad that this ****fest was greenlighted. It goes to show just how desperate the CW is. It was better as the WB. Its days are numbered since its main target is young girls. No wonder I can't stomach anything on that channel.

And am I the only one completely repelled by that awfully hideous vomit green and orange CW backdrop? What a turn off. And they wonder y their channel-for-girls is suffering in the ratings....

hey why not... since there are obviously NO new IDEAS(Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone etc) why don't we remake the ENTIRE FOX library starting with the TRACY ULLMAN show... then we can REMAKE/REDEVELOP Married With Children and 21 JUMP STREET too CW!!!! wow...FAIL

I liked Pushing Daisies actually. Very Tim Burton. I really wish they hadn't cancelled it.
