Fox announced Tuesday morning that "Prison Break" will end its run after four seasons this spring, says Variety. The drama returns to the network's schedule on Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m. for a final lap.

In other Fox news, the network confirmed that its "American Idol" results show will air in its traditional Wednesday 9 p.m. slot after all.

"Idol's" Wednesday edition will move to 9 p.m. once the show reverts to its in-studio competition phase. That means new drama "Lie to Me," which is initially airing behind "Idol" on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., will slide down to 8.

Also, Fox announced that new animated comedy "Sit Down, Shut Up" will air Sundays at 8:30 p.m. starting April 19.

Oh man, that really does suck. Prison Break is friggin' great. I love how Michael is always problem solving...

Farewell old friend, I hope the rest of the season is as badass as the first half.

It did seem like this could possibly be the last season. I hope it ends well.

While this news is a shock at first, I guess it's only smart when you think about it. How much more can they put the brothers through? And this entire season has felt like a swan song, to say the least. I'll miss it but hope it goes out with a bang. Since it doesn't return until mid-April and this is only January, I think they have ample time to do some re-writes and end on a high note.

I'll miss Michael, Lincoln and the Gang.

RIP

Thanks to all the fans, we all thank you for your support.

but, truth be told we were running out of ideas to put another season together. We escape from Jail 3 seasons back so it only makes sense that we finally enjoy some freedom.

this show is not like other shows: CSI, LAW AND ORDER, I mean, there is only so much you can do with so limited perspective or drama.

unless we change the name of the show to:
I CAN DO IT ALL. (MICHAEL)

ohh well, thanks again!
