Bryan Fuller Returning to Heroes?

November 7, 2008

Entertainment Weekly reports that former "Heroes" writer (and "Pushing Daisies" creator) Bryan Fuller may rejoin the show now that co-executive producers/writers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander have been let go.

"I am exclusive to 'Daisies' through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January," Fuller said. "If 'Daisies' isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at 'Heroes.'"

It's unlikely ABC will pick up more episodes of "Daisies" considering the show is currently ranked at No. 64 and attracts just 6.14 million viewers.

Fuller, who was responsible for the critically-acclaimed "Company Man" episode of "Heroes," also created "Dead Like Me" for Showtime and Fox's "Wonderfalls."

Heroes isn't worth his time. Keep pushing daisies.

I don't watch Heroes anymore... but I might start again if this happened. Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies = awesome.

Easy solution? Cast Lee Pace as a guy who has the ability to bring back the dead for brief spurts of time.

surprisingly heroes is getting better, but the backlash from season2 really killed it, plus the bad acting and horrible plots.i think it'll actually come back for season4, just because nbc doesn't have much on mondays other than chuck, which is great btw.

Heroes has jumped the shark. Utter chaos and crap. It's as if they throw every stupid idea at the wall and film what sticks. Time to call it quits.

bryan fuller CAN bring justice to Heroes, which at this moment is horrible. milo ventaimtiantaga's acting is the worst of any single person i've ever seen. all he has is the same damn facial expression.
this is bad for me b/c i worshiped peter in season 1 and 2. they need to loosen up.
and not every damn disaster HAS to be seen in the future and not every damn thing has to end the god damn world.

I remember reading at the end of season 1 that "someone" (name escapes me?) left Heroes and it would be interesting how it went? well it went crap, BUT was that Bryan Fuller?

i absolutely agree ian:
peter was my favourite character in season 1, but i really hate the express-less cold figure, they made of him.
maybe the loss of his abilities bring him to a better character-developement.
i like daisies ( waching season 1 right now), but its only a series with a strange colourful look a la burton, and i have the feeling that this design wouldnt help daisies to last very long.
better they stop daisies and fuller has the possibility to save heroes,
but i also think, that there weren't any more stories in heroes to tell.
but hopefully fuller could save it for a stunning last season and series-finale

There was a recent article on IGN's website that listed some possible new writers for Heroes, and Bryan Fuller was one of them. On top of talking about the "Company Man" episode, IGN wrote that Fuller had stated that during the first season the writers working on Heroes each got assigned a character to write, and Fuller wrote for Claire's character.
.
And how awesome was Claire in the first season? The whole testing herself and recording it, trying to keep the secret, the revenge of her on the guy who left her for dead. Man! Bring back Fuller!
