Bruckheimer and Bay to Reunite for HBO Drama?

Source:Variety

Variety reports that Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay may reunite for a Warner Bros. TV drama series to air on HBO. The project is loosely based on the 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys.

The trade says the series would revolve around the drug trade in Miami in the 1980s. It would focus on the cutthroat world of drug dealers and the Colombian cocaine kingpins who set up shop in the once-sleepy Florida city.

Bruckheimer and Bay, who collaborated on a string of blockbusters in the 1990s including Bad Boys, The Rock and Armageddon, would serve as executive producers.

A deal has not been finalized between HBO and Warners and a writer is not yet attached.

Well....It certainly has promise, considering those two awesome directors are uniting for it. Michael Bay and Jerry Brukheimer are awesome. xD

I don't think that Jerry Brukheimer is a director.

I hardly consider Michael Bay a director either, considering that he has yet to direct anything that wasn't worse than crap.

Fantastic, just fantastic.

Huge explosions, enormous special effects, cheesy dialogue, non-in-depth story, what else could you ask for from these two. They're creativity died with "The Rock" when the late 80's and 90's ruled their genre.

Can't cocaine cowboys just stay alive with "Scarface" and "Miami Vice" (the T.V. show)?

I Know that you guys will start hating on Bay, but yet you watch his movies like Transformers, The Rock and the Bad Boys movies. Michael isn't the best director but he is nowhere as bad or in the same trash league of directors like Uwe Boll. So don't compare the two, you idiot.

By the way they are just producing it and will not be directing it, so give it a chance.
