FOX has cancelled several recent series, including the sitcoms "Dads," "Enlisted" and "Surviving Jack" as well as the drama series "Rake."
Executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild ("Family Guy," Ted
), "Dads" starred Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi, Brenda Song, Vanessa Lachey, Tonita Castro, Peter Riegert and Martin Mull. It followed two successful guys - and childhood best friends - now in their mid-30s, whose relatively stable lives were turned upside down when their inappropriate, pain-in-the-neck patriarchs moved in and overtake their home and work lives.
Written and created by Kevin Biegel ("Cougar Town," "Scrubs") and starring Geoff Stults ("Ben and Kate," "The Finder"), Chris Lowell ("Private Practice," "Veronica Mars") and Parker Young ("Suburgatory"), "Enlisted" offered an irreverent single-camera comedy about an older sibling who returned home to reconnect with his two brothers and lead a group of misfits on a small Florida Army base.
From Emmy Award nominee Bill Lawrence ("Scrubs," "Cougar Town"), "Surviving Jack" was set in 1990s Southern California and starred Emmy Award nominee Christopher Meloni ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") as a man becoming a dad, as his son (Connor Buckley, "Deception") becomes a man, in a time before "coming of age" was something you could Google.
"Rake," finally, starred Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine
, "The Kennedys") as a brilliant and frustratingly charming criminal defense attorney, whose chaotic and self-destructive personal life often got in the way of his professional one.
Additionally, FOX is said to have passed on new pilots "Dead Boss," "Fatrick" and "No Place Like Home."
