Amazon Studios has debuted new images from two of their upcoming series, "Alpha House" (John Goodman) and "Onion News Empire" (starring Jeffrey Tambor). Check them out below!

"Alpha House" was written by Academy Award nominee and Pulitzer-Prize winner Garry Trudeau ("Doonesbury," "Tanner í88"). Based on a New York Times article about a group of senators who share a town house in Washington, D.C., "Alpha House" stars John Goodman ("Roseanne," Argo) as John Biggs, a politician who finds out his seat is threatened by a celebrated Duke basketball coach. To make matters worse, Biggs finds out he has to go to Afghanistan as part of the campaign. Mark Consuelos ("American Horror Story: Asylum," "Guys with Kids") also stars in the series.

The live-action comedy gives viewers a glimpse into the fictional offices of the "Onion News Empire," with William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) playing a harried news director and Jeffrey Tambor ("Arrested Development," The Hangover) taking on the role of an egotistical, self-declared TV legend.

"Onion News Empire" is from The Onionís Will Graham & Dan Mirk ("The Onion News Network," "The Onion Sportsdome"). Chris Masterson ("Malcolm in the Middle," American History X) also stars.

Amazon Studios, the original movie and series production arm of Amazon.com, has begun production on eight comedy pilots. The others include "Browsers," "Dark Minions," "Supanatural," "Those Who Canít," "Zombieland" and "Betas." Additionally, six childrenís series are also currently in production, including "Creative Galaxy," "Oz Adventures," "Teeny Tiny Dogs," "Tumbleaf," "Sara Solves It," and "The Untitled J.J. Johnson Project." They will be made available for free on Amazon Instant Video, LOVEFiLM UK and LOVEFiLM Germany. Customers are invited to view the pilots and then review them on the site; customer feedback will help determine which of the 14 pilots Amazon Studios will make into full-season productions, to air on Prime Instant Video.
