Lara Jean Chorostecki to Play Freddie Lounds in Hannibal

TV Line is reporting that Lara Jean Chorostecki ("Camelot") has been cast as Freddie Lounds in NBC's upcoming Hannibal Lecter drama series. The Freddy Lounds role was previously played by males in 1986's Manhunter (Stephen Lang) and in 2002's Red Dragon (Philip Seymour Hoffman).Lounds is a sleazy tabloid journalist who creates trouble for FBI agent William Graham (played by Hugh Dancy). Mads Mikkelsen is Hannibal Lecter and Laurence Fishburne is Graham's boss Jack Crawford.
The series will follow the early days of Lecter and Graham when they worked together to solve cases. David Slade is directing the pilot and Bryan Fuller is acting as showrunner.
