Dakota Fanning Talks New Moon Role

Dakota Fanning has confirmed that she is in talks to star in New Moon, the follow-up to last year's Twilight. The actress tells ShockTillYouDrop.com: "I really hope that works out. I think it's too soon to tell right now, but it'd be really fun. I'm a huge fan."

Fanning is said to be circling the part of Jane, a deadly Italian vampire.

In New Moon, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.

I think Dakota will be a good Jane, better than any other young actress i can think of. Plus She is already a great child actress so i think she'll be good.

hmmm...saw the headline and my first reaction was NO NO NO!

but she might make an interesting Jane...she's either going to be great or horrible...i can only see this going one of two ways...

She was awesome in Kate Hudson's short movie "Cutlass," which Kristen Stewart was also in. This has nothing to do with this article, but I felt like giving a little praise.

I think she is a very very over-rated child star. I have hated every role I have seen her in and I really think she would ruin the Jane character. Jane needs to be sweet yet wicked in the blink of an eye and I just do not see it with Dakota...sorry.
