While it was expected, it was not confirmed yet whether Josh Duhamel would return as Major Lennox in Transformers 3.

Duhamel told us today at the Las Vegas ShoWest convention that he met with director Michael Bay yesterday, that the script is done and they're preparing to start filming in the summer. So yes, he will indeed be back alongside Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Tyrese Gibson.

Transformers 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

Transformers 2 was so awful. I think the directors, actors, writers should all be dropped for someone that can put together a believable story we care about. Why don't I do it you ask? Good question, cuz I could do better.

Sweet, that is awesome. I actually like his character. Even more than Sam. I cannot wait to see how this wraps up if at all.

Was he the president or something else? I don't know that much about government to differentiate between president and commander in something. lol. Sorry.

I agree with ???, Josh Duhamel is a important peice of the series. However saying that, I just hope it'll be more robot character driven this time around. Or make it half/half. Just make sure you make Bumblebee talk. And should be an interesting conclusion of Michael Bay's Transformers.

For all you haters of the second movie. I must say I liked it, and thought was quite entertaining. The first was still better however, because you have all the robots involved more. The second it was all Sam this/that. But, just hope it's more robot character driven, as I said before. Including don't forget to sign Linken Park for there song in the movie. I think there music fits perfectly in the series...

Anyhoooo's that is my 2¢ worth...

anybody thinking that you're going to get a transformers movie that will be better than the trainwreck that was the sequel can forget it. since the second film made so much money there isn't any pressure to improve the third. other than some special effects or maybe some new robots, you can count on michael bay to be michael frigging bay

Jon Voight was the Sec. of Defense, I think. I'd love to see him back and the blonde Aussie chick from the first movie.

I too liked the second movie. I wanted a fun, explosive action flick and got what I wanted. I didn't expect a deep plot (unlike G.I. Joe which disappointed me greatly).
