Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that New York Comic-Con attendees will be the first to see footage from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2, the epic animated conclusion to the adaptation of Frank Miller’s landmark story. Sony Pictures will debut exclusive first looks at the upcoming films Carrie and Evil Dead at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 13th from the Javits Center.

The New York Comic Con is over, but we still have a bunch of things to share with you, and while The Avengers stole a lot of the glory this weekend, the Sony panel was also a lot of fun, especially the exclusive 3D trailer shown for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and the hilarious banter by filmmakers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. New York Comic Con is over, but we have some more fun stuff from the hugely-popular panel for Marvel's The Avengers for anyone who missed our live-blogging of it. Disney and Marvel Studios have supplied us with some B-roll footage of the stars meeting the fans, the panel and interviews, but we also have a much more detailed description of the new scene shown. In this scene, we first encounter Mark Ruffalo's Dr. Bruce Banner in India as he's approached by Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow) to come back to America to help S.H.I.E.L.D. deal with a "global catastrophe."

Producer Gale Anne Hurd is having a big weekend with the second season of the AMC series The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman and Charles Adlard's popular comic book, starting Sunday night, and 24 hours earlier, they brought a bunch of the cast and some footage to the New York Comic-Con.

ComingSoon.net's SuperHeroHype is live-bloggin' the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance panel at the New York Comic Con today. Director Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine will be presenting the new film, coming to 3D and 2D theaters on February 17. You can read the live blog by clicking here!

Having cost $200 million to make, not counting marketing costs, Green Lantern was seen as a disappointment at the worldwide box office, earning $117 million domestically and $103.3 million overseas for a worldwide total of $219.9 million. The Blu-ray and DVD hit stores on Friday, so we'll have to see how those perform, but DC's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is still hopeful for a sequel.

This morning, Marvel Studios announced its plans for The Avengers at the New York Comic Con, and now comes word that Sony Pictures will also present Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance there a little earlier in the day.
