Legendary Pictures has purchased an original sci-fi screenplay from Justin Rhodes (Contract Killers, Grassroots), Variety reports.

Details on the plot are few, but the story is said to focus on a hazmat team who, after being called in to clean up the aftermath of a particle accelerator disaster, find themselves targeted by an assassin.

Another original Rhodes sci-fi tale, Second Son, is also in development at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Alex Hedlund is attached to oversee the project for the studio.
