Although the film had been set up at Sony Pictures, Deadline is reporting that Jon Favreau's upcoming Jersey Boys has moved to Warner Bros. due to a new first look deal between the studio and producer Graham King (of GK Films).

Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and their meteoric rise from blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks to one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty.

With over $1 billion in ticket sales and currently playing worldwide, the musical opened on Broadway in 2005. Produced by Dodger Theatricals, the Broadway musical is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and direction by Des McAnuff.

As previously revealed, the feature film will be using much of the same music and lyrics in the stage play, including songs like "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Rag Doll," "Oh What a Night" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."

Production on Jersey Boys will move forward as planned with Warner Bros. releasing the project around Christmas of 2013.
