Alex Pettyfer is in negotiations to join Kristen Stewart in the Nick Cassavetes-directed crime drama Cali, Variety reports.

30 Minutes or Less screenwriter Michael Diliberti is providing the screenplay, which will feature Stewart as Mya, a young woman who, with her boyfriend, Chris, fakes her own death as part of a snuff film and runs away. Years later, she has to return to the San Fernando valley in an effort to save her sisters.

Cali will shoot this later summer with Diliberti, Craig J. Flores and Zev Foreman producing and Nicolas Chartier and Brian Levy executive producing.
