Walt Disney has always been the most prominent name in animation and while Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, Blue Sky Studios, Sony Animation Studios and other young upstarts have tried to steal Disney's thunder, they've kept things going by staying ahead of the times, switching to computer animation when that became the industry standard. Even so, Disney is still known for their kids' movies and they haven't been able to reach teen and older guys with their movies like Pixar Animation has done with the likes of The Incredibles, Up and WALL•E.

That may change this fall with the release of Wreck-It Ralph, a family adventure-comedy featuring the distinctive voice of John C. Reilly as Ralph, the poor put-upon bad guy of an old '80s video game called "Fix It Felix, Jr." who decides he'd rather be a hero, so he goes off on a quest through the world of video games to achieve that goal.

We first saw footage for the movie at CinemaCon, and we immediately knew that the movie would appeal to ComingSoon.net readers, so it didn't surprise us when the first trailer was received so well. Disney showed even more footage in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con of which you can read a description here.

Last week, ComingSoon.net had a chance to talk with Moore at Comic-Con about the anticipated animated film and in the video interview below, he started off by giving us a little history lesson about how so many of today's great animation directors have come from the Cal Arts animation program before we got into the movie itself.

Wreck-It Ralph opens nationwide on Friday, November 2.
