Producer Neal Mortiz has plans to develop a comedic take on Sleeping Beauty, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Mortiz, whose credits this year include 21 Jump Street and the upcoming Total Recall, has his Original Pictures' Amanda Lewis developing the project with a screenplay by newcomers Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller.

Set in present day, the film will find Sleeping Beauty being awakened by a man who has no interest in her and will follow her stalkerish adventures as she tries to win his affections.
