Kyle Chandler is the latest name to join the cast of Allen Hughes' upcoming Broken City. Variety has word that he's set to star alongside Russell Crowe, Mark Wahlberg and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The film, written by Brian Tucker, centers on a cop-turned-P.I. (Wahlberg) who is hired by the Mayor (Crowe) to find out if his wife (Zeta-Jones) is having an affair. When he confirms that she is, her lover soon turns up dead and the P.I. is drawn into a vast political conspiracy.
Chandler, who recently appeared in J.J. Abrams' Super 8, will play the campaign manager for a rival mayoral candidate (played by Barry Pepper).
Broken City is also set to star Justin Chambers, Griffin Dunne, Natalie Martinex, James Ransone, Alona Tal and Jeffery Wright and is currently targeting a January 18, 2013 release.
