Brittany Snow has joined the cast of director Jason Moore's musical comedy Pitch Perfect at Universal Pictures and Gold Circle Films, reports Risky Business.
She joins a cast that includes Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Alexis Knapp.
The film is based on Mickey Rapkin's nonfiction novel of the same name. Rapkin, senior editor at GQ magazine, spent a season covering competitive collegiate a cappella. He followed the teams from Tuft University, the University of Oregon and the University of Virginia, writing about the singing, groupies, partying and rivalries.
The film is the story of an all-girls college a cappella group trying to rebuild with a shaky rookie in the lead so they can take on the all-guys championship team. Snow will play Chloe, a somewhat rigid personality who finds her spot in the group.
The movie will start shooting mid-October in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
