Djimon Hounsou has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures' Paradise Lost, reports Variety. Alex Proyas is set to direct the action adventure starring Bradley Cooper and Benjamin Walker.
Paradise Lost is an adaptation of John Milton's 17th-century English poem. The movie is about the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael (Walker) and Lucifer (Cooper), and will be developed as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, possibly shot in 3D.
Hounsou will play Abdiel, the angel of death.
Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Vincent Newman via his Vincent Newman Entertainment.
