Bruce Willis is joining Henry Cavill in Summit Entertainment and Intrepid Pictures' The Cold Light of Day, directed by Mabrouk El Mechri. Richard Price is writing a production pass on the original script written by Scott Wiper and John Petro.

Sigourney Weaver is also rumored to be in talks to play the villainess, but the studio had no comment on that casting yet.

Intrepid principals Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans will produce, and Steven Zaillian, Kevin Mann, Matthew Perniciaro and Wiper will executive produce. Spanish producer Galavis Film will co-produce, and Galavis' principal Jesus Martinez will also executive produce.

Principal Photography will begin September 6th in Spain.

The Cold Light of Day follows Will Shaw (Cavill), a young American whose family is kidnapped while on a vacation to Spain. He's left with only hours to find them, uncover a government conspiracy and the connection between their disappearance and his father's secrets.

Summit will distribute domestically and license the distribution rights to the film internationally.

Erik Feig, Summit's president of Production, and Summit's senior vice president of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, Michael Schaefer, will oversee the project for the studio.
