Ron Perlman to Play Conan's Dad

Vulture has learned that Ron Perlman ("Hellboy" films) has been cast in the role that almost went to Mickey Rourke - Corin, the father of Conan. Rourke will instead star in War of the Gods.

Perlman joins a cast that includes Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp and Leo Howard.

Marcus Nispel will direct starting this month.

But Rourke is also a better actor and deserves to be in the better movie. This is why I'm happy about the switch. War of the Gods is going to be awesome!

Rourke looks like his face would fall off if someone punched him once. I am sorry to Disagree but Pearlman is a better actor for can sense some Hamlet type style to his voice and seems a well rounded actor. While Rourke his really bests suited for a Con or aging Wrestler.

I agree with Vaughn...his face really does look like it'd fall off and he's not that great of an actor either...I'd say almost terrible.

Look at him in Irom Man 2....He plays a new villian never seen in the comics "A Crackhead"!

Surely they could have gotten someone equal to Robert Downey Jr for Whiplash.
I mean his hair in the scene with the other villain looks like Coolio got beat up.
