Tim Burton to Tell Maleficent's Story?

Ain't It Cool News is reporting that Alice in Wonderland director Tim Burton might be adapting another classic tale soon, but this time from the point of view of the villain.

The site says that Burton is interested in making a live action feature based on Maleficent from Disney's 1959 adaptation of the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. Burton's Dark Shadows is "stumbling," according to AICN, so Maleficent could possibly be his next project.

Yeah, I guess this is a way for Burton to cast his girlfriend Bonham Carter as another lady from hell in the leading role.

As long as they don't cast Bonham Carter in the title role it will be fine. They really need a great known actress that could pull it off maybe Meryl Streep.

Soooo, Burton is making another dark rein-visioning of a classic tale laden with cartoonish CGI. Somebody please slap him he's stuck on repeat! What happened to the guy that created Ed Wood?

Now... now... don't hate it just because it was inspired by Wicked. It's still a story worth telling and you know you'll watch when it comes out. So don't be a a little bee-otch.
