ComingSoon.net has your exclusive first look at five Youth in Revolt vignettes, featuring Michael Cera, that will start airing on Comedy Central. You can watch all five using the players below!

Youth in Revolt, opening nationwide on January 8th, is a coming-of-age comedy that puts a fresh and outrageous stamp on a tale of adolescent obsession and rebellion. Based on the acclaimed novel by C.D. Payne, the film is the story of Nick Twisp (Cera) – a unique, but affable teen with a taste for the finer things in life like Sinatra and Fellini – who falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful, free-spirited Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) while on a family vacation. But family, geography and jealous ex-lovers conspire to keep these two apart. With Sheeni's encouragement, Nick abandons his dull, predictable life and develops a rebellious alter ego: Francois. With his ascot, his moustache and his cigarette, Francois will stop at nothing to be with Sheeni, and leads Nick Twisp on a path of destruction with unpredictable and uproarious consequences.

I find it odd that the concept of a teenager developing a split personality that wreaks havoc and nearly kills both its other personality and the world around them isn't viewed as psychotic or terrifying, but seen as simply a funny character quirk.
But, I guess if that personality has a mustache and cigarettes then no (permanent physical) harm, no (psychologically damaging) foul?

@THE FOOL.

So ...Its not odd if a girl fall in love with a vampire and wants her boyfriends to turn her to a vampire.Okay twilight fan,thats not considere as terrifying but romantic.I'll mention the twilight film because both a based on teen adapted books.
From the trailer i'll think its more like imaginary friend or words from his own mind like that paul giamatti movie AMERICAN SPLENDOR,Hilarry Duff's LIZZIE MAGUIRE and (just watching her movie)Jodie Foster NIM'S ISLAND.Remember where Jodie talking with his character in the novel Alex Rover.This same concept can work with YOUTH IN REVOLT.

It's fight club...only with a horrible actor who weighs 92 lbs and mumbles "witty" or "smartass" comments under his breath...brilliant! Honestly I don't understand why anyone would think anything Michael Cera does is funny
