The French Poster for Avatar

November 18, 2009

Fox France has released the final French poster for James Cameron's Avatar, which you can view below. The French get a bit of a jump on North American moviegoers, as the movie opens there on December 16th, two days before it does here. The 3D action-adventure stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald.

In the trailers, the F/X look amazing. Still frames look fake.

It needs more of the human/machine soldiers in it. Took much Na 'avi.

Because of the way they've photoshopped it together, the human actually looks really fake. I wonder if they had to soften his features to make the alien look more real?

Not exactly a fan of this poster, but it hasn't changed my mind whatsoever about this movie. It's gonna be glorious.

They're really selling the 3D experience over the action/adventure aspects of the movie. I think its pretty smart - lets face it, the sci-fi crowd and fanboys were onboard months ago.. no need to market the film for them.

Anyone who thinks the CGI in this film is crap has literally no idea what it takes to create that. I work in the industry and trust me when I say, you have no idea.
