First Official Sorcerer's Apprentice Photos

Fanboyz.net alerted us that they've got scans of the first official photos from Jerry Bruckheimer-producer The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The images come from a theater handout that features the July 16 release, directed by Jon Turteltaub and starring Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, Monica Bellucci and Toby Kebbell.

In the film, Balthazar Blake (Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."

Wow, I like Cage's look for this movie, it fits him. Actually, this whole movie sounds like it could be pretty awesome.

I know it's uncool to like Cage but i really enjoy most of his films(wickerman never happened).He's got the coolest slate of movies coming out in the next few years i wish the haters would give the man a break.

lol thought nicolas cage quit acting, because there are so few films with him these days.
looks odd. i'm more looking forward for him in kickass.
...but what happened to the actor from leaving las vegas and face off...?

Cage can act, but he chooses not to. He was good in Leaving Las Vegas, but that is it.
