Aronofsky's Swan Attracts Ryder, Cassel

Source:/Film

Darren Aronofsky's next directorial effort, and supernatural thriller, Black Swan has found its co-stars.

According to /Film, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey will join previously announced cast members Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

The film centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer, with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions.

Semi-interesting. Need to wait for a trailer to see if it truly turns out to be worth seeing. Too bad I can't stand Winona Ryder, so that's one strike against it.

Aronofsky's a great director - loved everything he's done. And yes, the world needs more Winona.

I used to love Winona. Now I'm iffy on her. She was a waste in Star Trek--Guess we'll see about this.

wow cast is getting better and better.
15 years ago i was in love with winona because of mermaids and edward scissorhand and dracula. 10 years ago i was in love with natalie. and now i'm in love with mila kunis. attach rachel bilson to this flick and i'm counting down the days.
also since fountain, araonosky is one of my most favourite directors

@movier... That's a great description.

@Rorschach123... Well said, my friend. Well said.

Aronofsky, like Fincher, has yet to disappoint me. This cast is great, and it's an interesting idea for Aronofsky to take on.

What ever happened to "Fighter," though? Is that still coming out?

Yes! If there's one man who might revive our Winona now, that's Darren......
