Ashley Greene to Star in The Apparition

"Twilight" franchise star Ashley Greene is in talks to star in Dark Castle's The Apparition.

The story, inspired by true events, centers on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment. The film starts shooting on February 1st.

Joel Silver is producing with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman. Steve Richards, Sue Baden Powell and Daniel Alter executive produce.

Todd Lincoln is writing and directing.

inspired by true events. jesus. Im glad to hear a rant from some slow witted stoner university student about seeing a g-g-g-g-g-ghost is inspired by true events. "hey, movies like paranormal activity and the fourht kind are in theatres, we should be like them too". I hear pitch black 2 was based on true events too.

She'd better be careful.. If they decide to hurry up and film 'Breaking Dawn' during that timeframe all of a sudden they might end up replacing her with Angelina Jolie or someone more bankable..

she should watch her back, but she's far less likely to get fired than Rachelle because A) Rob Pattinson, the big fish, is working on another movie in February if i'm not mistaken as well and B) in my opinion, she's 4th in Summit's pecking order, Rachelle on the other hand was way down hence more expendable -> so Breaking Dawn, when it's made official, won't be shot til probably in 2nd or 3rd quarter 2010.
