Universal has hired Tron Legacy writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to pen the big screen adaptation of the board game Ouija, according to Heat Vision.

The studio is looking at the project, to be produced by Platinum Dunes' Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form as well as Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro, as a supernatural action-adventure movie.

The board has been produced by Hasbro's Parker Brothers since 1966, with millions being sold worldwide.

"a supernatural action-adventure movie." It isn't Jumanji, it's a Ouija board. They could make a great horror movie based around that game.

Lame. I always pictured "Ouija" as a horror than action-adventure.

A movie that makes Ouija boards look like a fun adventure? I refuse to see this film. Ouija boards are dangerous, and if you're going to make a movie about them, at least protray them as something to stay away from

I agree with Ray2008. I know from the experiences of others that a Ouija board is dangerous thing. I consider myself a religious person and I think a movie celebrating a satanic tool like this is bad news.

Anyone who considers him or her self religious AND refers to a Ouija board as "satanic" needs to be examined for a brain. There's a difference between supernatural and satanic. If you don't understand that, it's impossible to have intelligent conversations. Also, Ouija boards are a scam and I have no idea how or why they'd make a movie out of it. If you want to see a Ouija movie, check out the one called "The Craft." That was a great movie.

They are definitely not something to play with. Regardless of your religious views, I've heard many friends' experiences with the board, and none of them are happy. I won't see this movie if and when it does come out.
