Columbia Pictures has hired Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen to pen the script for Men in Black 3.

There are no deals yet in place for franchise director Barry Sonnenfeld and stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return.

The studio is looking to start filming the third installment in 2010, perhaps as early as the spring.

The first two films combined to earn nearly $1.1 billion worldwide.

If they make it more like num 1 then its gonna be fantastic, num 2 was a massive let down for me it tried to be funny, i thought num 1 was a serious sci fi movie with funny moments.

i agree with Reaper... if.. IF.. they do another one, it needs to take itself more seriously than the second one did.

maybe they could use the unreleashed Michael Jackson track named Men In Black? if the lyrics fit. And we know Will Smith worked with MJ before, he was at This Is It premiere by the way.
