Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Dominates the Charts

October 28, 2009

Home Media Magazine reports that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has already become the top-selling home entertainment release of the year with first-week sales of 7.5 million units!

The sequel also became the biggest-selling Blu-ray Disc release of 2009, with first-week sales of 1.2 million units.

"Revenge of the Fallen" topped day-one sales, having moved 2 million discs its first day in stores, 500,000 of them on the Blu-ray Disc format.

The sequel easily debuted at No. 1 on all three charts: the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, Home Media Magazine's rental chart and the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc sales chart.

WTH cares? This movie was a basic piece of crap. I bought "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" and that was only okay, but way better than this s**tload.

This was hands down one of the worst movies ever made. The fact that idiots out there are buying this at rates like this are very depressing. I guess the real art of film-making is dead.

KO What is the purpose of buying 5 copies?
I wouldn't even buy one of this terrible movie. Not even if Michael Bay himself gave it to me. In which case I would beat the crap out of him, tie him to a chair and make him sit down and watch all the the gen 1 Transformers cartoons since he obviously did not. Then I would dress up in a giant Soundwave costume and finish him off so no one would have to endure another on of his ****ty movies ever again.

i agree this movie is not a masterpiece deserving any kind of artistic recognition, however i found it to be entertaining for what it was and i bought it on blu-ray and it looks phenomenal

We need a 'Revenge of the Fandub' to cut out alot of the dead weight in this film. I viewed it again, and I could easily find about 20 minutes worth of useless junk to jettison, beginning with that annoying college roommate who does nothing but whine and complain.

Though when it comes to ROTF, Jack said it best: 'This town needs an enema!'

Wow, so piracy has not harmed sales at all just like we all say. If they make a movie people like, most people will end up buying it anyway.

Though, I thought this movie was crap so the sales figures surprise me.

Its high time you people get off Micheal Bay's case!!!
If ROTF is such a bad movie why would so many people pay their hard earned money to own this.
The bashing seems to be coming from the internet fanboys who count for nothing when helping a movie make money.
