Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball is hitting Blu-ray Hi-Def, DVD and digital download January 19, 2010. Executive produced by Joe Carnahan (Narc), the writer/director behind Smokin' Aces, and directed by P.J. Pesce (Lost Boys: The Tribe), Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball features the return of infamous assassins Lazlo Soot and the Tremor Brothers from the original film. Both the Blu-ray and DVD editions include the rated and unrated versions of the movie.

Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball stars Tom Berenger, Clayne Crawford, Martha Higareda, Ernie Hudson, Michael Parks, Autumn Reeser and Vinnie Jones, as well as returning stars from the original theatrical release Tommy Flanagan, Maury Sterling and Christopher Michael Holley.

In the follow-up, Walter Weed (Berenger) is an unassuming desk jockey at the FBI when the Bureau uncovers a plot to assassinate him. A team of degenerate, psychotic assassins dispatched by mystery man Hal Leuco to win a huge bounty includes a resourceful beauty who has a unique method of killing her prey (Higareda), a power-tool wielding psychopath (Jones) and a deadly master of disguise (Flanagan). Also in the hunt is the fan-favorite Tremor family from the original film, featuring nymphomaniacal gun-nut (Reeser) and her lethal kinfolk (Sterling, Parks and C. Ernst Harth). Baker (Crawford), the agent in charge of the operation, puts himself and his team in the line of fire to defend Weed, but it's not until the smoke clears on the film's explosive climax that the surprising identity of the plot's mastermind is revealed.

what a waste of money. the first movie sucked a big one, so big, i could never look at alicia keys the same again, she lost alittle respect from me on that one. horrible dialogue that tried its best to be a tarantino script and failed, came out sounding like a high school drop out wrote the film, they could feed all the people in burma with the money it took to make this guaranteed flopper, the said thing is stupid american will buy it and it will be top selling, pathetic...

and the original title made reference to buddy "aces" israel, who has nothing to do with this new film.

I was tempted to buy this when it said Lazlo Soot and the Tremor Brothers were returning, but since only Tommy Flanagan (Soot), aurice Sterling (Lester Tremor) and Christoper Michael Holley (Beanie) are returning and none of the main Tremors aka Chris Pine or Kevin Durand, I'm afraid the only way I'm gonna see this is by borrowing a copy form a friend stupid enough to buy it !!

But, c'mon, MARTHA HIGAREDA!!!!!!!!!! The film may be horrible, but if she is in it, at least you could enjoy seeing her!
