You guys realize that vampires are not real. Right? As with all fiction, you can make it what you want. That's the power of literature and movies. MAKE BELIEVE!!

Yes mythological terms are the correct way to go, but honestly if everyone followed the terms to vampires 100% don't you think we'd be bored with that? Nothing new? I agree with Foxx. It's a different take on the vampire mythology and personally it's a breath of fresh air. I'm a guy and yes I've read the twilight books. If you can get pasted all the REALLY gooshy stuff, they aren't that bad. If you read the books, you'll find out that the vampire Edward doesn't really "Sparkle" They say when he steps into the sun it's like he's covered in diamonds. Almost like he's been alive for so long his skin as disinegrated into diamonds. So yeah the movie did an epic fail on the digital effects, but didn't have a lot of money to try and perfect it. Lets just hope this time around they can.
