Yahoo! Movies has posted a new rehearsal montage online for Chicago director Rob Marshall's Nine, opening in limited release on December 18 before expanding wider on Christmas Day.

The film, based on the Broadway production, is a vibrant and provocative musical that follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), a young American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

It's an awesome cast, singing a ton of memorable broadway classics like...

Wait--I don't know a single song from this musical.

i still hate how they aren't showing lewis sing...that's a red flag...and two they aren't showcasing the best song in the previews, "the bells of st. sebastain"

I saw the movie about 2 months ago at an early screening. Trust me when I say that Lewis is great in the performance and that "The Bells of St Sebastian" is amazing. I wouldn't ruin it in the previews either.

Can't say I like the trailer very much. I think the rehearsal montage sells the picture better. I'll probably see it regardless when it finally gets here.

I am looking forward to seeing Nine--mainly because of Daniel Day-Lewis.
