Logan Adapting Vampire Novel The Passage

John Logan has been set by Fox 2000 to adapt "The Passage," the Jordan Ainsley (pseudonym for author Justin Cronin) vampire novel being developed for Ridley Scott to potentially direct, reports Variety.

In the novel, terminally ill patients become healthy after they are bitten by bats in South America, and the government conducts secret tests on human subjects to see if the virus can cure illness. The result is an apocalyptic unleashing of bloodthirsty vampire test subjects that include death row inmates.

Logan and Scott previously worked together on Gladiator.

Sounds great! Now lets keep our fingers crossed and hope they make Del Toro's The Strain next!

It sounds like "I Am Legend" had a one night stand with "The Condemned" and 9 months later this was the outcome.

John Logan's career comes full circle since the first film he ever wrote was BATS.

UGGGH! Geez, enough already! I'm SICK TO DEATH of vampire **** at this point! Hollywood loves running **** into the ground and this genre is six feet under; please move on! Twilight sucked balls and they'll still be releasing at least another 3 movies of that bull****...just let it die already! I was a huge fan of the Buffy and Angel series, but this new vamp-craze is making me hate the genre...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Oh cool! A movie about vampires! It has been too long! Perhaps one day we will get another zombie movie, too!

@Luck J - good one. To build on yours...
It sounds like "I Am Legend" had a one night stand with "The Condemned" and "28 Days Later" was the outcome.
