Michael Bay's official website got an update from the director on his future projects:

* He will be meeting later this week with Steven Spielberg, and Ehren Kruger to discuss ideas for Transformers 3. By the end of the week he should have an idea if Transformers 3 will hit your local cineplex in the summer of 2011 or 2012.
* In the meantime "Pain & Gain" is looking very possible as is...
* ...Bad Boys 3. Either film coming to a theater near you before or after Transformers 3.

If you're not familiar with Pain & Gain, it is based on this article from the Miami New Times.

This just can't possibly be worse than Transformers 2... NOT. POSSIBLE.

There's alot of crap getting talked about the Transformers movies and how Michael Bay prefers action over a good story. Seriously? You're watching Transformers which by definition means "giant fighting robots". Not every movie to come out has to be a deep meaningful story. Sometimes I need to sit and dull my senses and indulge in a little high-budget explosion-fest.

Oh it can be worse, far worse. I was so pumped for Transformers 2, big let down.

Be nice if they didn't let Orci and Kurtzman write the story...big fan of the original 'toon (and Pete Cullen is one of my good friends...seriously), but that last film was pretty bad. Effects were amazing, but the story was really disjointed and pretty weak. First movie was pretty cool, but 2 was not very well done. Also...they are terrible at writing humor, so they really should not try...these guys seem like the awkward outsiders that try and tell jokes (dated ones at that..."my bad"? "stop lubricting"?) and get silence followed by a polite courtesy chuckle. I'm surprised they didn't throw an "as if!" or "don't go there!" or "that is so phat!" in the script...the robot humping was really, really stupid...so were some of the other "gags"...please, no more attempts at humor from people that really don't have the knack for it. The only ones that laugh are 9 year-olds.

Fire Orci and Kurtzman. Their dialogue destroyed Transformers.

Now bring on Unicron! And with him, redemption for this franchise!

Please try to work on the story for Transformers 3 and leave all the excessive language and sexual references out. Less humans and more robot battles please!

So, that new writer's coming back! NO!!! Cause I feel, knowing Kurtzman and Orci's other work, they probably did a great job on the script for RotF, then had it ruined by that other guy. This is horrible news, and seeing as Kurtzman and Orci are out, but luckily because they're busy on the next Star Trek.
