Touchstone Pictures has released the new trailer for director Jonathan Mostow's Surrogates, opening in theaters on September 25th. The graphic novel adaptation stars Bruce Willis, Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, Boris Kodjoe, James Francis Ginty, Michael Cudlitz, James Cromwell and Ving Rhames.

In the film, people are living their lives remotely from the safety of their own homes via robotic surrogates—sexy, physically perfect mechanical representations of themselves. It's an ideal world where crime, pain, fear and consequences don't exist. When the first murder in years jolts this utopia, FBI agent Greer (Willis) discovers a vast conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon and must abandon his own surrogate, risking his life to unravel the mystery.

Better trailer than I thought. Count me in on opening weekend! It still doesn't make up for making me sit through Hudson Hawk though!

Hudson Hawk, really? I'd say you have about 18 years of built up regret haha
On the other hand, trailer looks incredible! I've been looking forward to this for a long time now.

Jonathan mostow .. who single handedly destroyed the terminator series by making the POS T3: rise of the machines is doing another so called sci-fi..WOW Hollywood rewards failure! this guy cant make a movie let alone do proper sci fi.. if you guys want to see sci-fi done right stay away from this stinker...watch MOON or District 9 or Avatar (December 18)

I saw a sneak preview of this about 2 months ago. It is truly amazing. Great story, full of characters you can really emotionally connect with. Lots of action. Great acting. Oscar worthy make-up effects. I'm totally seeing this again on opening night.

@JC - And yet, he made U-571, which was a good movie. You can't judge a director based one one work alone. If that were the case, nobody would be a good director and everyone would be incapable of making anything good. I assure you that Surrogates is nearly as good as District 9, and I liked it better than Moon.

@Movies4Life - What do you mean "when it's not ready to go?" I saw it 2 months ago and it looked pretty finished.

The problems that i have with Mostow is that A) he doesnt know wht the &#$^ he's doing B) he does not have good judgment and no class whatsoever...and good judgement and vision are critically essential to a director and i did see U-571 when i was gettin ready to see T3..it wasnt anything special....a high shcool kid couldve done a better job w/T3

Mostows debut, Breakdown is very good. T3 is certainly flawed and was a disappointment but its not the abomination that T4 is.
